As you all know, houses – especially when you sell or rent them – have to carry the appropriate Energy Performance Certificates. In my experience, one usually calls upon the expertise of a specialist and the cost is not particulary high. But it’s also possible to get information about the energy performance of our house. SEAS 2.0 can help us; it’s the first national software for power diagnoses in residential buildings. This software is user-friendly and easy to download, free-of-cost from the ENEA website. ENEA is the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development. Enea has taken advantage of the collaboration of the Destec department of the Pavia University. Going into details, the software calculates the energy demand for heating, hot water, electricity for lighting and other utilities. The software can also be used for renewable energy, for instance for solar panels, photovoltaic plants, heat pumps and biomass generators. Would you like to know whether you house or your office are wasteful or saver? Downloas SEAS 2.0 and you’ll know. (Data from Nextville).
