Bergamo from 6 to 23 September 2018
The 8th edition of I Maestri del Paesaggio (The Masters of Landscape) is marked by an interesting initiative: ARKETIPOS cooperates with PHORESTA Onlus to compensate CO2 emissions and finds in Stucchi SpA sensitivity and economic support for its mission.
PHORESTA Onlus is a non-profit organization that fights to reach the requirements laid out by the Kyoto Protocol, the main goal being the decrease of CO2 concentration in the atmosphere, one of the main causes of global warming.
One of the weapons to fight the CO2 emissions is compensation; who emits CO2 can calculate the amount and buy credits from whom generated them through forestry projects.
This formula has been implemented by PHORESTA also on the occasion of the I Maestri del Paesaggio meeting, as for some of the six events held during the meeting the emissions generated by the speakers’ travels will be compensated. PHORESTA makes its validate carbon credits available, gained with the Progetto Ossigeno (Oxygen Project), signed with the Valle del Treja Regional Park (Lazio, Italy).
The economic support to buy these credits has been provided by Stucchi SpA, one of the main international producers of quick couplings for pressurised fluids.
“It’s nice to see that PHORESTA, ARKETIPOS and STUCCHI SpA agree that any landscape, at any latitude, is far healthier if it’s rich in trees, We wold like to bring the message that supporting forestation to compensate the CO2 pollution is possible and accessible to anybody” says Carlo Manicardi, chairman of Phoresta Onlus.
“Stucchi SpA is a family company, with a worldwide distribution network and branches in the USA, China, Australia and Japan. Stucchi has always followed a path of quality and commitment to provide solutions that are new and that meet the customer’s many needs every time. Its support to Phoresta Onlus and to the I Maestri del Paesaggio event shows the attention that Stucchi pays to the environmental and land protection and to the corporate social responsibility” Giulia Stucchi, one of the Owners of Stucchi SpA, eagerly adds.
